Apple has begun offering the MacBook Air SuperDrive for only $79, with free shipping.

This is the first time that the USB 2.0 SuperDrive has been offered in refurbished fashion, and is the lowest price we’ve ever seen. A full one year warranty applies to the item, and can be upgraded to three years when you get an AppleCare Protection Plan for your MacBook Air.

And, as usual, you cannot use the SuperDrive with any system other than the MacBook Air. The added power drain prevents it from working on other systems (well, without some serious hacking). Apple offers standard shipping on this item.
