Mac mini Refurbs In-Stock Again, 2.0 GHz Too (Back in Stock, Again)
Once again, Apple has re-stocked refurbished units of the Mac mini. The Mac mini is the cheapest Mac model, and as such, it usually sells out quickly when it surfaces in refurbished fashion.
Both Core 2 Duo (current generation) models are currently available. The 1.83 GHz model is being sold at $499 ($100 off), and the 2.0 GHz model is being sold at $679 ($120 off). It’s worth noting that the 2.0 GHz model tends to sell out much faster than the 1.83 Ghz.
The Mac mini makes an excellent HTPC (Home Theater PC) Mac, but is even better for replacing an older PowerPC Mac (it is three to six times faster than a PowerPC G4-based Mac).

Chris, you’ve got a solid start on this, but there are pages that are similar to this that are better updated and have more deals. Techbargains.com is what I suggest you mold yourself after. They make some income from marketing the discounts. They also update every hour guaranteed usually more often. Causing constant refreshes higher traffic, and the deals are equal and if not better. I let you know I was interested in joining your team. I’d love to try to make this new site as successful as possible.
Joshua, first thanks for the feedback.
Keep in mind that the goal of CheapenGadget.com, is not to be another deal news site. We started CheapenGadget.com because we found that there was a lot of people who find those sites overwhelming.
We also found that savvy deal hunters often missed the very best deals out there, because they couldn’t keep up with the flood of ho-hum deals out there.
So, our goal is quality over quantity. If a day goes by that we don’t post any deals… it’s usually because we’d rather go quiet for a day, then send readers deals that aren’t the best out there. Despite what the other web sites want you to believe, there are many days when there just aren’t any great deals out there. So, they instead chose to give you a bunch of cruddy/stale deals.
I do expect to see an uptick in the number of deals reported on, as we bring on more staff. We will be bringing on more deal reporters soon, but our focus right now is on finding a chief editor, who is experienced with affiliate marketing.
